KONA LHe + Panasonic BT-LH1700WP = SDI Output Monitoring?

Hi guys,

I'm new to this setup. I don't know anything about SDI either.

I have the Panasonic Monitor and the AJA card. However, I don't know what I'm doing wrong/missing, but I don't get any signal when I connect the monitor to the card via SDI. I'm using FCP to edit. I do get signal if I connect through YG-PB-PR. I use BNC Cables to make the connections. Am I missing something basic here.. or is the SDI output not for monitoring from FCP?

Make sure you've configured your set-up with the Kona ControlPanel. The SDI outputs can output the primary (Native) Format, but can also output a secondary format that you set under the format tab. The SDI outputs might be set to output 525i29.97, otherwise you might have to check the input settings on the monitor. The Kona LH will be outputting signal from all outputs simultaneously. I don't have the BT-LH1700 -- would like to get one though. Good Luck figuring it out.
