I know this is an HVX forum but I am having problems viewing my p2 log footage off of my HVX. I had p2 log installed on my G5 on accident... it worked. I actually needed it on my portable MBP. I installed p2 log on it and now I cant get video to play on my MBP. I can see everything like it works , metadata and everything but when I press play its just a white screen with the counter that plays the clip, but no visual. It is a 720P 12FPS so I downloaded imagine products DVCpro HD pass through coded for PAL thinking that was the problem and it was not. I cannot view anything that I record no matter what format it was recorded in. I can see everything about the file including the sample pic but it just does not play on the Monitor. I have all the system requirements that the program asks for in the manual and I still cant figure it out.... please help.
I will try calling them tomorrow but turned for help here, so maybe I can figure this out tonight! thanks...

I went over to Imagine's FAQ's and found this.
This sounds like your problem....
My P2 Clips are white screen and play audio only! P2 Log and HD Log also utilize QuickTime codecs on your system. Currently, the DVCPro HD codec is only supplied by Apple with ProApps. You must either run P2 Log/HD Log on a computer with FCP HD installed, or copy the codec from your editing system to the target computer.

You'll still need to call them and get a new code for your MBP though.

P2 Log is machine specific. If you've already successfully installed it on your desktop machine, it will be crippled on your laptop. Vendor insists you purchase another licensed copy of software at $200 for additional installations.
If you've got latest FCP , you may not need P2 Log. FCP 5.1.2 does it all.

I called them and reset it onto my MBP so it is inoperable on my G5 already, I am fully aware of the single computer single user policy but that doesn't seem to be part of the problem... I will try to look into the Quick time thing.
