Wow, sorry I missed this until now. Thanks for the kind sentiments on the script...I'm glad you liked the character. It's too bad we are going to be shooting this project now, but I am going to be working on a longer (possibly feature length) version of this story (if you didn't see it, I wrote a brief synopsis of the longer version here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showpost.php?p=782794&postcount=16)

David,

Congratulations on your participation in so many projects. You have definitely proven yourself to be the 'go to' guy for acting in these fests.

Did you find it a challenge to play so many diverse characters this time around in a short period of time?

And, you probably won't answer this question, but did you have a favorite character out of the different parts you played?

Again, Congrats,

RobertE

Robert E,
Thank you for your comment. To answer your question about the difficulty of playing multiple roles in a short period of time…

In the beginning I thought it was going to be difficult, but due to the fact that most of these where filmed separately from each other on weekends, it gave me a few days during the week to switch gears, do my homework on the role and focus my energies in the right direction.

I have a theatre background and a few times we would work on pieces that required you to play 5-10 different characters in the span of a 2 hour stretch, which IS difficult making sure one character does not bleed into another.

I had great time with the people I worked with for this fest and am grateful to everyone who gave me shot at this. Like any other person working on a film I try to come from a base of “how do my choices (as an actor) best serve the story”. That is as complicated as it gets, the rest is having a good time doing what I love.

Best role…..? That is going to depend on the editor.:)

David - at the risk of increasing your hat size... I was very impressed at how completely different the character in Captain Fundraiser was from the character in Cache. And in both cases you fit the part perfectly.

Yeah, instead of each movie needing to have an erica or eric in it, it would have to have a ConCannon.

But seriously David, your very talented from the stuff I've seen and I wish our scheduling could have worked out for you to be in our movie also (we actually had the jogger for three days instead of the one we originally planned including a pick up we did)

Some solid work again this fest David. My personal favourite performance from you this fest (not necessarily my vote film - havent decided yet) was after class. I thought you played the role very well, and as is it should have been.

So David, share with us something if it suits you to do so. From a director - what gets you really buzzing as an actor?

Seeing Amanda and David working together again was wonderful.

The fact that he didn't slit her throat at the end of "The Artist" was a nice contrast to the last film they both worked on! Seemed like a much nicer way to end a film.

Great work David across all your performances.

Wow, David, you've got like a ready-made actors reel out of just this festival. I haven't seen your work yet, but I'm looking forward to each of the projects you're in, and the different characters you portray.

Thanks Ignatius. This fest was as an amazing time.

I am totally voting for ConcannonFest next time around!!! You are the Herman Witkam of actors man, your fingers in everything!

I was thinking more along the lines of Clint Howard. :)

Thanks for the comment and I totally dug KATRINA, top 5 all the way.

Some solid work again this fest David. My personal favourite performance from you this fest (not necessarily my vote film - havent decided yet) was after class. I thought you played the role very well, and as is it should have been.

So David, share with us something if it suits you to do so. From a director - what gets you really buzzing as an actor?

Thank you very very much ncje for your kind words...

Interesting question...

I would have to say a paycheck.

But artistically, sounds cliche but, a good comunicator and a risk taker. I think a good director has the ability to pull the best out of the people he or she works with.

I enjoyed your work this fest and I think it is great you are engaged here with the filmmakers. I am sure we will see you in a bunch more and that is a good thing.

Thank you bosindy! Hopefully in the future I wil be able to take the part of filmmaker as well. I have been learning so much hanging out on the sidelines here.

David,

You've done a great job in every movie you've been in. Roll the red carpet out. David's on his way down it.

I am blushing....thank you.:costumed-smiley-047

Great job in your shorts, David! I love your diversity.

Thank you Rebecca! I enjoyed your performances in your 2 films.....very heavy subject matter. Can't wait to see what is next!

I don't remember David wearing shorts? Anyway...

I liked his performance best in After School. Great Job David!

And the little 'diddy' you did in The Artist walking down the street.

Thank you Robert...can't wait to tell my mother that the dance classes paid off.:dankk2:

Seeing Amanda and David working together again was wonderful.

The fact that he didn't slit her throat at the end of "The Artist" was a nice contrast to the last film they both worked on! Seemed like a much nicer way to end a film.

Great work David across all your performances.

Thank you Kmuse!

It was great to work with you again and I LOVE Violet! Wow.

Ya..you are right...no murder this time. :)
