I have a project that I shot in 720p and want to put onto Digibeta. I have been exporting it in FCP then shrinking it in AE. I am sure there are better ways of doing this. Would love some feedback. Thanks

Live Downconvert output in camera via component out (assuming you can get it back to P2) - I can't think of another way of doing it ...You at least avoid re-compression this way, but it's analogue.I wish the HVX has some form of digital connection.

On the PC (EDIUS) you can export back to P2 file structure, don't know about the mac.

very simple.
Copy 720 (contents) timeline into DVCPRO50 timeline, render and write to tape (digibeta deck). Or if you do'nt have a deck make a quicktimefile (on harddrive) of it and go to someone with a deck.
Good luck

Thanks. Does that look better than shrinking it in AE?

no, the same but in FCP is less work.
