It seems that some people here recommend saving copies of projects as Uncompressed files so there is no quality loss in future transfers. Will, I did this with one of my shorts (using Compressor to make an Uncompressed 10 Bit File), and when I took the Uncompressed 10 Bit video, dropped it into a FCP timeline, and outputed it with Compressor to an MPEG to place on a DVD, I seemed to lose a lot of quality. I thought that the point of having the uncompressed file would be that there would be no quality loss if I needed to compress it an MPEG again. What am I missing?

You can't have an uncompressed video on a "playable" DVD

DVD is a format with specs that are going to force you to compress your video.

You'll just have to keep on your hard drive. OR you could print it back to tape, which will also require compression, but not as much.

So, what I would do is open up your FCP project, export using compressor, choose the NTSC-DVD-60min-High Quality (or whatever its labeled as) preset, and edit the properties by changing the bitrate to 9mbps and selecting CBR. This will give you pretty much the best results you can get, and because you said it was short (I assume less than 30mins) it will probably fit on a single layer disc.
