Hey,
So I am editing a rock video for some friends. They really wanted to give the editor a good time, so what they did is shot all the sync masters MOS in slo-mo. No slate, no reference audio. They sped the audio up 200% so the lead singer sang really fast, the theory being that when slowed down her lips would sync perfectly to the audio.
Well, not only do I have to eyeball lip-sync to the master track, but there is sync-drift. Looks like the video is slower than the audio, and needs to be sped up by approx 100.39%
While I can do this temporal compression to each track, I'd rather not if it is something with frame rates or conversions that I am not aware of.
I do not have the original MXF files, only quick time files, DVCPRO HD 720p at 23.98 fps
Help!
