I´m especially interested in the results of filming fast moving objects in 25f or 24f.

Is it possible to get a clean picture of a fast moving object?

Canons GOP is 12frames is it? So only every 12th picture is "real", what does it look like, are fast pans and fast objects blurry?

Is chroma keying of moving objects a problem?

Please post some material as soon as possible.

Go to dvinfo.net and look at the XL-H1 sample clips. There's also xlcinema.com too.

Short answer: It will look fine for virtually anything.

Does hdv footage from a sony fx1 look different to say that of the xlh1 interms of smearing and artifacts in regards to shooting fast motion?

From what I've seen the FX1 will show more fast motion artifacts. I believe it's because it simply isn't as good an encoder, and it also only encodes interlace, (even in CineFrame modes, which drop a field) whereas the Canon can encode a progressive image, which is much easier on MPEG2, and in 24F or 25F mode allots more bits to less frames.
