PAL A1...When

I'm looking to get a Canon A1 as soon as possible, what's the story with a PAL version of this camcorder. Does it do 24/25, 50/60 or will we in europe have to wait for a few months to get our hands on it?

It will do 25/50, but to do actual 24F you would need to have the camera upgraded by Canon, which adds the 50/60hz switchability.

The U.S. price for the upgrade (to add PAL capability) is currently $500.
