sorry, i tried searching for this but couldnt find an answer.

I have a powerbook running with FCP 5.0.4. I did a test shoot on the HVX the other week and was able to transfer the files from the camera to the labtop via firewire.

What do i need in order to transfer the files straight from the card instead of having to use the camera. I want to be able to offload one card while shooting with the other card. Can i just insert the P2 card into the side slot on my powerbook? any drivers needed? I know this is probably a simple question, but i no longer have the camera in front of me in order to try it out. Thanks.

A PC card slot on a G4 PB should be perfect for offloading. Install the drivers, however.

It should be on the CD that came with your HVX.

thats the problem, i dont have the disk or manual because i'm borrowing the camera from school. Thanks for the link, that should fix my problem.
