View Full Version : LOST VIDEO EQUIP? -- Please Read--
http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/images/smilies/Drogar-Mark-04%28DBG%29.gifFor anyone recently in or near the Williamsburg Virginia area:http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/images/smilies/Drogar-Mark-07%28DBG%29.gif
I was handed a piece of video equipment by a lady who found it. It is obviously expensive, doesnt belong to me and the person who owns it is probably very sick right now. So for lack of a more appropriate forum, I'm posting both here and in the MarketPlace in hopes that the owner may find it.
If you or anyone you know believe that I may have something that you or they lost, please contact me with an exact description of the equipment, location and date lost. Additional questions will need to be answered satisfactorily. Only when I am 100% satisfied, will I even consider sending anywhere.

how 'bout handing it over to the police? if I lost something I would go to the police and report it. if you hand it in and someone picks it up you are entitled to a finders fee of what is it... 10% of the value?

If it is an AVID Adrenaline... it's mine... hehe.
Spoke to a guy today who answered the what, when and where perfectly. Needless to say, he is one very happy dude now.
That piece was a brand new bebob foxi attached to a tripod arm. It was given to me while shooting the 225th anniversery reenactment of the battle of Yorktown VA by an elderly lady (awesome spectacle --- over 2000 reenactors in the field). There was lots of media, about a dozen film students as well as a number of independents out there. So I was hesitant to say, hey man is "this" yours? and the first guys says "thanks". Anyhow mystery solved.
Thanks for your interest and compliments guys.

Hey
I was out there filming also with a DVX on friday and an HVX on Sunday. On Sunday I had the HVX wrapped up in a raincoat made for a dvx but it worked fine. I along with 2 other shooters were filming for Lionheart filmworks for a DVD of the reenactment weekend. I saw another guy with a DVX and I saw the film students as well using a 16mm, a dvx, and a canon XL. I believe I saw another DVX that someone was using also. DVX's everywhere, it was awesome. What were you shooting with out there? Where were you shooting during the big surrender ceremony on sunday?

gco - Very kind of you. The guy is lucky the old woman handed you the equipment and not someone else. Any chance you can reproduce so there'll be more people like you in the future. :)

Hey Brian,
Good to hear from you. Was that an event or what? Those film students came into our camp Sat morning and I got a chance to talk to them. How about that 16mm? Was that a beauty or what?
If you saw a dude dressed as a continental soldier and sporting a DVX on a tripod instead of a bayonet on a Brown Bess, that was me. I was shooting from the big tree by the road Sunday and later got right onto the field in the middle of that massive formation. Even in the rain, that spectacle of the surrender ceremony just about made my heart stop. Saturday evening was awesome---about 1500 of us took part in a twilight battle over the trenches. Perfect golden hour weather. Within about 5 minutes the entire field was covered in smoke. I got in the trench in front of the lines and shot down the entire line as it snaked up and down the hills into the distance. Smoke everywhere, cavalry riding by, officers shouting orders, canons going off, bright orange flames out the barrels and lock mechanisms, orange flashes and crackling sound of the British returning fire from the redoubt----what a sight man!
Rev War events only get this big every 25 years or so. Good to hear you were there. You guys will have no trouble selling your DVDs. Look forward to it.
btw---how will you be selling it, through the park service or directly? 2000+ reenactors want to know.
