I have encountered the following problem when using two P2 cards on which to record, often spanning the two cards with a clip.
The problem is that when downloading the second P2 card containing the second part of the spanned clip in an XP laptop with a single PCMCIA slot, I am prompted by P2 Viewer with a dialouge box informing me that there is there is already a clip named XXXX, presumably the first part of the spanned clip. I deny the request to overwrite and instead, put the second part in another virtual P2, leaving both clips with a "pink !".
How do I overcome this problem of naming conflict?
Will I need to reassemble the orphaned parts of the spanned clips to use them? If so, what is the proceedure?
Thanks for any advice!
