I have a PAL Sony MiniDV Handycam, one of the first ones that came out a few years ago.
It's this camera: http://desc.allshops.ru/images/17784.jpg
Is there any way that I could use a 35mm adapter with it?
Thanks,
Ernesto.
the problem will be the distance from the base to the lens, unless all of the weight of said adapter is on the threads, are there threads on the lens?

That's the picture of the lens, so I think those are threads. Also it has a lens cap that hooks onto those threads. Another website also says "Filters and add-on lense can be easily attached via the 37mm threads on the lens." talking about this camera.
Edit: I just tried on some wide angle lenses on it and it does have 37mm threads. So couldn't I get an adapter that has a 72mm thread, then get a 72-58mm step down ring, then get a 58-46mm step down ring, and then a 46-37mm step down ring, put them all together and attach the adapter at the end?

No problem, can be done, but the adaptor will be heavier than the filters and wide angle lens made specifically for sony camcorder. Plus, the adaptor generally tends to be longer and this create a lot of bending stresses. Best to set the whole thing up on a rail system. Bottom line is yes, you can use a mini35 adaptor with the above camcorder.

Ernesto, just check to make sure your camcorder can zoom in and focus on a 35x25mm size rectangular shape at close distance with or without a macro.
well like i was saying, you may need to jimmy rig something or use a lighter weight tube style adapter, because if you attache that to rods you are going to be doing a lot of shimming. so find a LIGHT tube adapter....

You'll need an a tube adapter, probably some step up / step down rings, and a reversing ring if you want it hard mount.
You can find everything you need at:
http://www.camerafilters.com
It took me over 4 weeks to find a place that had it all, some of those rings are very hard to find, even B&H didn't have them all....so my advice: bookmark this link.
cheers.
