Anyone? I have some footage, two short scenes shot in 720 that I need to put into a timeline with 1080. I understand it can be done, anyone with an answer?
thanks,

What editor are you using? Most should upscale on the fly; I've done that with EDIUS and I didn't have to do anything, just drop the file right on the timeline and tell it to output 1080; Vegas would do the same.

using fcp, but when I render all, it is still 720. back to the drawing board.

Option 1-Create a 1080i timeline. Drop your 720p file to the timeline. Export quicktime movie with current settings. (I don't know if there's any crop in the picture if this is done, tough)

Option 2- select your 720p clip, go to media manager, select the convertion to 1080i. You should get a new 1080i project with the file converted if you select "copy file"and "create new project" on media manager.
