Best Compressor!>>>! !>>>???

hi all. i am using a pc. what is the best compressor for avi files, also other files...i want to upload them to the internet, but can only upload 100 mb, when i have sizes of 300-500mb...please help

I've used streaming video and a squeezed Qtime file. Steamming looked best for me and it's a much smaller file. There may be other better choices but those are the ones I've used.
