Exporting 720 image sequence

Hello

I am trying to export a Targa sequence of a 720p50 timeline from FCP and find that the image size is 960 x 720 , which is correct according to sequence settings. When I view an image , the picture is stretched. The proper setting should be 1280 x 720.

Why is this?

And is it worth me doing a batch conversion in Photoshop ( I am worried about losing any vital pixel information ) or should I hand the original sequence to the Nitris operator who is onlining the final movie?

This becomes one of my lingering questions. Are we capturing 1920x1080 or 1440x1080, and 1280x720 or 960x720.

There are display discrepancies between QT, FCP, Photoshop and Shake regarding this.

And FCP will accept a QT either 960x720 or 1280x720 and neither will require rendering in a 720 50P timeline.

It's not a major issue, but I'd love a solid answer.
