:) I wanted to post this here to let everyone know my experience.:)


DVXuser is an incubator for filmmakers...

That is what I love about this place. I came here knowing nothing about this stuff, around the Scifest time. I studied and learned, tried stuff and failed to meet my expectations, got feedback and helpful tips, met awesome people, and was encouraged, and finally made Stricken and purchased an HVX. WOW! What a long road it has been and I owe it all to the happy day I found this place. I appreciate the time everyone has taken to make the fest happen, and all of the people getting out there and making films! Be inspired, make something better. I am trying to do that yet again. I am in this incubator, trying to hatch!

I like that. I'll be slowly gestating over here til the next fest is announced.

Having been around in the early days and then taken a break of a year or two it's kind of amazing how much this place has grown. Back then it was informative, but it was mainly a lot of theoretical arguing over different cameras, formats, etc. Now it seems like a substantial percentage of members are actually making stuff which lends itself to much more interesting and informative discussion - in my opinion anyway. This place has gotten so much bigger, I'm still finding my way around. I'm very glad to be getting involved again. "incubator" is a great description.

I went and checked some of those out. (those that still remain!)

How did that "storyline" film project work? It looks very cool. Fun!
