Hi everyone, I am thinking about building a similar 35mm adapter like edweirdo's one a while back and I wanted to know if it would be suitable for the XL2?

I ask because, there must be a way of getting the length shorter, cos' if I mount the adapter in front of the already long lens, it will just get dangerous!

Is there not a way where, I could get an adapter so that it fits on the camera and then a 35mm mount on the other end to fit slr lenses?

So it will be:
Canon xl2(without the 20x canon lens)>adapter to fit camera>slr mount>slr lens?

Any info please?

Check out the Letuws35XL, the only one I know of so far offering a relay lens besides the P+S...

How much does the letusxl cost and can I buy in the UK? Also, would it work like the SGpro, where I could specify that I wanted a nikon mount with it etc?

So $900, and I will have to pay customs charges too! And not available in the UK? So, my question would be, how much BETTER is it (or worse), than the SGPRO? (which I can get from the UK). :)

The Letus has an relay lens, meaning you can attach it directly to the XL2´s body - so not the clumsy setup with the 20x in between like with other adapters...
The Xl still doesn´t seem to have the market share to force the other adapter builders to offer a relay lens...
But, since I´m not shooting with the XL2 anymore I´m not really up to date - other solutions might already be available...
I´m looking at the brevis and the SGpro ATM, with the SG taking the lead by hopefully offering a FF soon and England being only a two hours flight away...

EDIT: For costums, I´m sure the Letus guys could just send you a X-mas present ;o)
