I recently shot some footage in 24pa with a borrowed DVX (can't wait to get my own), and when I captured the footage, one clip seems to have lost the pulldown info. It shows in Vegas as 29.97 and interlaced. Has this happened to anyone else? Why would this happen? ???
being on a mac i have no idea about vegas, but it sounds like the clip could have been accidentally shot in 24p with normal pulldown. maybe check the data on the original footage and see it was actaully shot in 24pa?
another alternative may be that a frame drop out occured during the clip, thereby interupting the 2:3:3:2 pulldown and your system doesn't recognize it as advanced pulldown. again i know nothing of the vegas interface so i could be just rambling on about nothing that even applies haha.
I shot two takes of the same scene at slightly different angles never turning the camera off, only pausing. When capturing, I have yet to see a dropped frame reported. They were all captured at the same time and that's the only clip that lost the pulldown.
I just wonder if it's the camera, the capture software or the tape that funked it up.
