First of all i apologize if this has already been answered, but i can't find the infos i need, as i don't really know what im searching for!
As said in the title im a total noob when it comes to DVCPRO.
The problem is the following:
I got alot of MXF files from a camera guy on a Firestore P2 disk. The guy needed his disk to be empty for the other day, so i just copied the whole content of the P2 on my HDD on my computer. Now i did try to import/convert the files to be used in FCP but "apparently" the only way FCP can use the mxf files, is when its directly connected to the P2 disk.... is that right?
So, i don't have access to the P2 disk all the time, as its not my disk, but i'm in urgent need of transfering/converting these mxf files into something FCP can read.....
Is there ANY way to do that? without using the P2 disk.... ? or do i have a BIG problem here ?
It would be cool to post/point me to a step by step solution on how i can get rid of this problem, cause i have really NO idea on what i can do about it!!!
hanks in advance for any kind of information.
cheers. steve.
