hey gang, ive been considering a 35 adapter system for my hvx and so far it seems that the redrock m2 is leading the sub $1000 race.

but, being mostly a (non-feature, industrial and commercial) run and gun shooter, im a bit leery of the mechanical nature and power requirements of the m2 - which brings us to the currently not-yet-available zacuto DOF adapter...

from the zacuto info, i like the fact that its NOT a motorized approach, thats a big plus.
what i dont dig is that fact that it demands a new zeiss lens ONLY.

just wondered if some of you with more experience in this arena might be able to shed some light on the subjects.

Zacuto stuff is great but I personally dont see the point in buying it. Great for a rental item if you need it but by the time you really deck it out, you could have stepped up to a 2/3" CCD camera. I believe the adapter you mentioned requires a special adapter for EVERY different lens, it is not a universal Zeiss mount.
