Hey fellow DVXusers--just some guidelines to help you if you're having a hard time with the voting.

First, don't stress over the voting system. If you want to start with an overall rating and work your way back through the component scores, that's fine. This isn't a science, so don't sweat the individual scores--they're only meant to give the filmmakers a rough guide to show where improvement might be needed.

Your favorite film should have the highest composite score--regardless of how you play with the individual scores to get there. Just try to be consistent across films--that's all we can really ask for.

The system isn't perfect and some of you won't be happy regardless of how we tweak it--BUT...the cream always rises to the top. :) The main point is to make films, enjoy other's films, discuss them, and have a great time. The whole voting/scoring part is really secondary. We try to come to a general consensus about a few of the top films that deserve a bit of extra recognition--it's that simple.
