To be totally honest I'm not sure. I'm a PC guy. I'm using a Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. NF-CK804 motherboard with 4 slots. Two are taken up by 512 mb chips though I'm not sure what kind (the computer is over a year old). I want something not too expensive that'll help me edit video footage easier (system chugs when I try to play 1080p stuff). Reccomendations?

has an autocheck built in to their main page. it will provide you with all the information you need for your specific machine and list what memory options are appropriate. I have used this on three different occasions and always been satisfied (their stuff is guarenteed). Should be good for Apple as well as PC.
