So, for a huge screening we have decided to screen off of tape instead of DVD for various reasons, but our lab manager seems to think that we could output to tape at any speed (sp, ep, etc.) and the quality will be the same.

:huh: Sooo not true. In analog tape this will cause a noticeable decrease in the quality of the image. In digital tape, while the image may be not be detectably degraded, the likelihood of a digital error can signficantly increase when recorded to tape at EP.
