Hello guys,
Yesterday I had a little red circle with a cross flashing on to top-left corner of my viewfinder. It showed up twice, but then disapeared. Has anyone seen this before?
When it was flashing, I paused the camera and then pushed the record button, and it disapeared.
I don't really know what it was, but does anyone know what that symbol means?
Thanks in advance
Fidel.

I believe that means your camera's heads are dirty and you need to use the tape cleaner tape to clean them. Did you use 2 different brands of MiniDV tapes recently? If so, that may have been what caused that to show up on the screen.

I only used about 30 minutes of the panasonic DVM60, and DVM63MQ from then on.
The weird thing is that it only appeared once, and then I pushed the rec button again and it disapeared.
I'll check on the manual to see if I find it.
Thanks!

I didn't find anything in the manual, but I noticed that it only happens with scene file f1. Well, I haven't really used any other than f6. I tried using f1, but it started giving me this stuff.
If I find out what it is, I'll let you guys know.

Worst case scenario is bad cylinder head. Ugh!!!!!!!! I had it replaced then it happened again........this time defective cylinder head! I never want to see that flash again!

Hello guys,
Thanks for the replies.
It was the head.
