Hi!

I have been thinking is it possible to do following inside Encore and how:

For example, you could use this in the first main menu that comes after the warning texts. All menu layers fade in one by one (whatever they are) and the music starts playing. Then finally the text layers where you can choose where you want to go fades also in and the music continues playing. Now, here's the problem. I think, if I use the menu transition (in Encore) before the main menu to the fading, I think there's a little pause between the transition and the menu...is it possible somehow to do it without that pause? So that the music plays without any break and then the option texts fades in and then you can choose what you want to do? I have seen this kind of menus in movie dvds. I just don't understand how to do it inside Encore...

Also, is it possible to tell Encore to loop the menu background footage from some certain point? If my menu background footage is for example 30 secs long, is it possible to loop it from the 5 secs, for example? So that you see the first 5 secs of the background only at the first time you play the menu...

A little difficult to explain, I hope you got it.

Thanks.

Pete, yes this is possible.

There's a feature that allows you to set the loop point of the background video (in the Menu Properties). And there's a similar setting that allows you to delay the display of the sub picture & activation of the buttons.

You would have a video that did all your fades (including buttons) and then the clip to be looped. Then you'd have the buttons become visible & active so that they come directly over the buttons from the video (hopefully hiding the cut). Then you'd have the video loop from some point afterwards.

So:
Video with transitions, including button transistions in.
Buttons visible & active.
Video loop point. .. and then the video to be looped of course.

Ask me on MSN for details.
