When the DVX-100 adds cadence when shooting in 24P normal mode, does it always make the A-Frame on the same timecode frame?
For example, would the A-Frame be on the 0's, 1's or 4's throughout the entire tape, or would it jump around depending on the frame the record started on.
I don't have the camera, but am doing an online with FCP 4.5 where they shot in 24P normal, but edited @ 29.97.
Thanks.

it pends the frame the recording started on. the cadance will not be consecutive throughout the whole tape .. its possible that a couple or a few takes will keep it consistant, but its only by chance. so each clip uses the same cadance, but it may or likely will not continue from the previous clips cadance.

It always fall on non drop 30 frame timecodes of:
:00
:05
:10
:15
:20
:25
This relationship pccirs regardless of cadence type used to shoot when in 24p modes. The only times this may change is when making dubs etc. of not perfectly jam synced.

Michael's correct, the DVX forces the timecode cadence so that the "A" frame is always on a zero or five. If you're trying to use TC PRESET and you're in 24P mode, you'll find that you can't even set the last digit to something other than zero or five, the camera will insist that it be zero or five.
This can delay recording or result in discontinous timecode, but it's the way the camera conforms the timecode to the video and pulldown sequence.
