I dont think you can pre order ps3. i heard from a guy who works at a game store that they will not take preorders because they will not have enough to even cover them. Its gonna be a bitch to get one at the release.

yeah, on the other hand it seems like, just maybe, there will be plenty of Wii's day one. I'm planning on just cruising into one of the big box stores aroun noon and just buying one. No 8 hour lines for me.

I might get the wii too. No hastle, and then get the ps3 in 12 years when they are in stock and the price is lowered to only one testicle instead of both.

Zelda doesn't have enough hooker violence for my tastes...at least the versions that I played as a kid didn't...maybe they've improved them since then... :)

I'll have Wii when it comes out and I'll probably pay someone to stand in line for a PS3, regardless of it's 600.00 price-tag.

With key Square-Enix titles like Kingdom Hearts and the core Final Fantasy series I pretty much have no choice.

Ill consider the Wii- but the PS3 is past me. Innovativity over graphics.

As for pre-ordering, the stores wont let you because of the XBOX360 incident.

I got myself a kitten... should tide me over until the PS3 goes down in price when the cat dies.

P.S. ........3: (sorry, couldnt help it) has anyone ever noticed how friggin hillarious kittens are? and as soon as they get boring you can just cut off their whiskers and its a whole new toy again!

Is your dog Dominican or something? Why is it always about eating other peoples pets with you Cheese?!

PS; I gotta couple of aunts that could eat your dog, in fact i'm pretty sure their diet consists somewhat of domesticated animals (they are from Honduras)... you dont see me mentioning them though...

Nintendo supposedly has Wii in production NOW, and they are stockpiling for the holidays. So there should be plenty of 'em.

PS3 will be rare. I shudder to think about the eBay auctions. . .

yeh they will. They are only releasing 400,000 to the U.S. at launch day (not alot) and 100,000 to japan laungh day. Yes... will be rare and will be selling HIGH on eBay.

I think Nintendo's strategy with the Wii is pretty brilliant. It will be cheap, innovative, and readily available. Nintendo should gain market share this time around.

I'm really going to take off of work just to buy a PS3 when it's released. I'll be standing in line with the other unwashed swashbucklers. I bet there'll be a one per person limit.

Last year I saw people camping for Xbox 360. With tents and everything. (!)

I'll be in those ranks. There's supposed to be 1 to 2 million throughout the Holidays, but that, in no way, insures an available unit to any one person.

Sucks. But Ebay sellers are going to rip pockets wide this launch week. And I might be one of them.

if i were to get a PS3 on/near launch you'd be damn sure i would put it up on ebay. what a great way to triple your money and buy that century zoom extension for my HVX, i might even be able to get the 2x instead of the 1.6x

my worry with the first batch of PS3's is that i'm sure there will be some major bugs. i don't really want to OWN one until i know that all the kinks have been worked out and make sure it can play the dual layer BDs, unlike the lame-o Samsung player.

If you can somehow get in line to get a PS3, make sure to have someone behind you and then buy two, sell the other on ebay for 200% and you get a PS3 for free. I did that with the 360.

Also...to think in even 'eviler' terms (is that even a word??)-- November...December...christmas time. Theoretically, if one were to get their hands on (2) PS3's, perhaps you could sell that second one for even more than 200% markup...

Yes, I'm horrible. BUT it'd be great to make a profit from buying the new PS3. And also, all we're really doing is capitalizing on supply and demand which is the centrefuge of all business anyway. So maybe I don't have the connections to find some metal plant in China to manufacture some part for me to sell at 500% markup here in the states but I can get my hands on a PS3 or two, or three, or six hundred...

I heard that PS3 games are going to be up to $100.00. That's crazy. The $600.00 price tag on PS3 is bad enough but how can you afford to buy games? Younger kids aren't going to be able to afford the PS3 and I know my parents wouldnt buy one for me if it were that much. I had to talk them into getting me a nintendo for months before they gave in.

I will though be waiting outside best buy/ circuit city from right when I get out of work (which will be 1,2 or 3 am until I get a ps3. If I can't get one, no big deal. I plan on selling it on Ebay right when I get home anyway. If I can get twice as much for what I pay for it than I'd be happy.

I've heard Nintendo is keeping their games priced at $50. For the price of a PS3 you can have a Wii, an extra controller, and a half dozen games!

That's what I first heard and heard that for a while. It was last weekend (i think) that I heard had the games priced from 60-100. I can see maybe a two disc game that has a ton of shit on there and comes w/ a stretegy guide and other things but no game is worth $100.00.

My last console was a Nintendo 64, and since then I've hopped over to computer games. But man... the Wii is threatening to draw me back in. The prices are right, ($249 for the system, controller, and a game), and then $49 for the 30 launch titles.

It will all come down to the games though, and right now they are looking inventive and promising. I've seen enough stupid computer games that are amazing to look at, but are just painful to play. Here are a few of the launch titles that shouldn't disappoint:

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Call of Duty 3
Madden NFL 07
Far Cry: Vengeance
Excite Truck
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Monster 4x4 World Circuit
Need for Speed: Carbon
Pokémon Battle Revolution
Red Steel
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Gamestop here in Hawaii announced a one-day only reservation opportunity for the Playstation 3. You had to trade in at least $50 worth of games to reserve one that day, and you could only reserve just one. I have one reserved, but of course, this will depend on how much they get in. All the reservation does is reserve your place in line.
