I use to own a Xl1 and they had a user's club that you could join that provides the following:
XL Series Owner's Club Membership
Benefits
1. Priority Phone and E-Mail Support which places the member in direct contact with an XL Series representative.
2. Free DV-PC Recorder Software which allows members to record video directly to their computer hard drive.
3. XL Owners Club e-Newsletter which will include success stories, video maker tips and much more
4. An annual discount on maintenance check, clean, and adjustments to factory specifications.
5. A loaner camcorder may be provided for repairs at the Factory Service Centers that exceed 5 business days (from Canon's receipt for warranty products and 5 business days or less from time of approval for out of warranty repairs). (Subject to availability, excludes Alaska and Hawaii)

I liked the concept a lot and joined and actually used the annual discount on maintenance check, clean and adjustment.
Is there something like that for the 100?? And if not why not or why not ask to have Pany start one??
