So my friend and i are working on our entry right now. All I'm going to say is that it's a very loose cross-adaptation of The Cask of Amontillado and Telltale Heart. This is kind of last minute...kind of really last minute.

IINM, Poe is entirely public domain, which is why Roger Corman made so many Poe-based films...
And, yes, Billy Pilgrim, it looks like you have about 27 hours from concept to when you have to have the final file uploaded. I do believe you win the prize for most-procrastinated film!

I don't think we will. My collaborator and I decided halfway through that it'll be better if we actually sit down and write a real script and take time to make it, that way it'll be executed much better. We thought we had a cool little idea that can be done quickly, and it could have been, we finished half of it tonight, but we liked it so much we decided it would be better if we took more time to make it. And now we don't have to worry about a time limit.
But basically here's the idea (keep in mind the character names are the same as in 'Cask' and not the final ones we'll use): A disgruntled man, Montresor, has a vendeta against a 'friend' Fortunado, for whatever reason, so he lures him to his home, where in the back yard, they dig a grave together. Whenever Fortunado asks what they're doing, Montresor tells him they're digging Fortunado's grave. Thinking he's kidding, Fortunado complies, until they're finished. Montresor murders Fortunado...but Fortunado comes back to haunt Montresor, 'Hamlet' style! It's kind of a dark comedy.
