Hello everyone! I just quickly wanted to say that I have been an avid reader of this website and have found the information in the blogs extremely helpful, so thank you all.
I have always been able to find an answer to my questions in previously posted topics, however, I have been stale-mated in my search for hand-held options with a 35mm adapter (i.e. m2) for the hvx, and have finally joined the community of filmmakers here at dvxuser with this question. Is there a cheap solution to mobilizing an hvx with a 35mm adapter attached excluding steadicam/gimbal options. What I am looking for is some sort of 'shoulder' mount. Does anyone have a diy option for this?

The only solution I have found is the Zacuto products which are currently very much out of my price range.

Any help would be appreciated,
thanks

Hyson FIlms is coming out with a rod support/baseplate and hand held option in the next month. Check out his website, I am waiting for him as I know many here are.

I've got an M2, and right now I'd say Danny's DVMultiRig looks to be the best combination of price/performance. I've been using his EngRig, which works, but I'll probably get the dvmultirig eventually (got the EngRig last year, long before the dvmr came out). Be interested to see what Hyson Films has, too. His matte box and FF look pretty sweet.

Jason, Where are those long awaited photos of your setup?

great! That helps a lot. I was looking into the dv multirig but was unsure as to whether it could hold the weight of an m2, this solves a lot of problems.
thanks guys!

You wound me, sir! Ha, just kidding. I found this one -- you can see the EngRig support bracket just behind the M2. And for those wondering, I've upgraded from the 501 head since this was taken.
