Hi there I have been browsing this site for a long time but just recently joined to tell you guys about my new film, called "The Matrix Jedi."
It is obviously a Matrix and Star Wars parody, and has been in the making for almost 3 years (mostly because I didnt work on it too much).
But now it is out, and here it is:

I hope you watch it and provide some feedback. This is the first "actual" movie I've ever made, so the plot is kind of funky, but I hope you have a good time watching it.
Thanks again,
Murat

Just finished watching it.
I'm impressed.
First off:
The copyright demons would have a field day with this if you where to ever release it commercially. - Be very careful about what you use in a future demo reel for work.
You had a good story line, that was well adapted from the movie, right up until the car chase. Which I feel spoiled the film. It almost felt as if it was made to replace a final battle that never took place.
Your effects where very impressive and creative, however there is still room for improvement too. For example I noticed some green screen "mush" drifting around in a shot at the party. Which by the way, was VERY well done. excellent work with the camera tracking and rotoscoping. Lots of good attention to detail in there.
Your bullet-time in Trinity's opening sequence was also very well executed. Care to share what methods you used to do that?
The opening sequence, as the Trailer, where very strong and helped set the mood.
The humor was generally pretty good, with a decent amount of inside jokes. however sometimes poor acting or unclear dialog would blow an otherwise good joke.
The acting was something that probably needed most work (in addition to a better "epic final battle"). A lot of the lines seemed forced. It often looked like you had rolled camera and then your actor/ess had waited a moment to deliver their line. I just didn't feel like a lot of your talent where actually in their character roles.
Generally speaking it was good. It kept me entertained for 30 minutes, though - like the later Matrix and Star Wars movies - I feel like you could have told the same story in 2/3rds of the time. 20 minutes would probably have been enough with some tighter acting and editing.
For a first film I'm very impressed. Good job.

thats mikkowilson,
You were right on the money when you said the car chase scene was a substitude for an epic battle that never took place. I was running out of time, and had to abandon my original battle idea and find a less time consuming method.
The reason the acting was a little amateur was because thats exactly what we are; amateurs. This was really the first time that most of my actors stepped in front of a camera.
I filmed this with my crappy Canon Elura 60, but I must admit I get better quality off of it than one would expect (mostly because I discovered an unofficial way to get progressive footage off of it).
I know a lot of it could have been better. This summer, we are going to make a movie that is very original, and it will be twice as good in every way.
Again thanks for your comments.
