I am aa noob when it comes to videography with such a professional camera. I have been using regualr camcorders most of my life for small things but tommoorw im going to be videotaping a wedding. I am renting a DVX100 and will be importing the video into Studio 10 or Premiere Pro (which ever I feel like at the moment).

Then it will be edited, music added etcc and outputted to dvd.

Which setting do you guys thing I should have this camera at? this 24,24p,30p etc stuff I dont know which is best.

I wont have much time prior to the event to play with the camera so im soley depending on you guys!

Thanks!

Personally, I'd stick with what you know best until you have time to learn the camera. But I don't shoot weddings. I wouldn't suggest learning 24p on one foot. I think the F3 scene file "Spark" says something about Weddings in the manual.

good luck

I shoot some weddings with the 100/100A. I've been dying to shoot in 24p, but the low light levels common to weddings are too much for 24P in most cases. 30p is more do-able, but this can be pushing it as well. I end up shooting intrerlace (uggh) as a result.

The video is then filtered with Silk Stocking plugin for FCP.

If your'e shooting situation is different,go for it. Usually the ceremony has adequate light levels, but the reception is the tough part.

Whats Silk Stocking plugin? I picked up a camera light when I did the reception (finished the Wedding up with no light and used Studio 10, came out pretty good) I stuck with F1 setting no progressive.

Its a very good camera, my dad was like :Drogar-Love(DBG): when he saw how well the camera performed in such poor lighting. (lol he wants to sell our regular camcorders and pick up a dvx).

Got the footage on the PC now, I wanna try a different editing suite, not that I dont like Studio 10 but I find in studio and adobe premiere it has a very basic title creator.

Anyone know of a good editing application with a title editor, ooooooor a title editor standalone application with nice annimations and things in which I can encode into avi and import into my editing suite?

Thanks!
