Can we do a surround mix for the DVD?

There's also a lot to pay attention to when doing a surround mix. One would be wise to go for a 5 uniform speaker (and optionally a subwoofer) setup with some knowledge of surround formats. Also, there are lots of conventions (like the middle speaker dialog 'rule') and don'ts (speech only coming from the rear speakers while it's supposed to be intelligible, sound only coming from the rear speakers which means losing stereo compatibility).
