URGENT please how to Sync

Hello all, I'm using the hvx200 along with the tascam hd-p2 http://www.tascam.com/Products/hdp2.html

Obviously, we'll be doing double sound, how can we sent timecode out of the hvx into the Tascam, which only excepts BNC and XLR for Timecode in.

If you're not able to get timecode from the HVX to the Tascam P2, then there's always the old-fashioned slate.

A "real" slate can help ID scenes and takes.

But something as simple as a hand clap will do just fine, too.

I've used the hand-clap method for a lot of multicamera jobs and it worked perfectly every time.

it's not necessary for the TC of your audio and video to match if you use a smart slate. this gives you a visual readout of your audio timecode making the syncing of picture and audio a breeze. (the smart slate also tells you what time of day you shot something, which can be useful for reshoots and pickups).

I also found out from another forum that you can also record to camera at the same time as the recorder
and double check the sync using a guide track


anyone know of the best place to buy timecode slates in Canada? eh
