Performance problems 2x Opteron & Edius 4

Hi,

I am experiencing performance problems with 2x Opterons and Edius 4 (as well as 3xx). Can anyone help me?

My system:

- 2x Opteron 250
- ATI Radeon 800 (GTO 128MB)
- Tyan S2877 Tiger K8WE
- NForce4
- 2GB RAM
- Win XP Prof
- DV Raptor RT (by Canopus)
- seperate system harddisk
- pagefile on little used separate HD
- minimal processes, but not only Edius installed, also various other grafiv/video/DVD applications. No virus scanner, no firewall.

My problem:

- Start editfile 6'50"
- Saving editfile 45"
- Saving settings 2'17"
- Renaming sequence 2'30"
- Close and save 30"

Espcially renaming a sequence and saving settings takes far too long.

With all this the processors are used by only 50%. The PF usage is at about 20%. The harddisks, inlcuding the one with the pagefile (virtual memory) are not spinning very much.

My editfile is about 20hrs long, so I can expect opening and saving to take long.

I have put this system together early this year, coming from a P4 2.8mhz and the performance is not much better with the 2x Opterons.
