Hi to all,

I haven't really posted much...and now with a bad one. I was shooting a sports commercial this weekend and my 200 took a direct hit...breaking the lcd screen (perfectly attached, but looks like black, shattered glass). The camera is less than a week old (still under warranty)...and seems to work fine...but given panasonic's service record...what should I do? Should I just buy a better external and deal with it or send it off and be w/o a cam for who knows how many months? I don't have the luxury of being w/o a camera for too long...but would like to get it fixed at some point. I'm around LA if that makes any difference regarding service. Any feedback or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
LBA

LA as in Los Angeles? If so, then you are near the Panasonic West Coast Service Center, and after making the proper arrangements, you could possibly drop it off in the morning and get it back later that day or the next day.

The damage you are talking about won't be covered under warranty, however.

Thanks...and yes...I talked to them earlier today...and that is exactly what I'll be doing. I'm buying an external/better lcd and will bring it in when I have some down time.

Thanks,
LBA
