Yeah, so all the clips on one of my cards won't playback out of my camera. The numbers of the clips on the HVX LCD screen are in RED as opposed to BLACK like the clips on the other card which are fine. I was able to transfer the clips to a drive and then into FCP, however there is no audio. What gives? :(

edit...ok so it's not just one card...there are a couple RED clips on the other card as well, just not all of them.

Dude... I reckon its one of those "RTFM" times!

The reason that the clips are in red is because you've changed the camera record settings. To play the clips displayed in red set the camera's record settings to match the settings you used to record the clips then they'll be displayed in black and you can play them. If you have used multiple record setting then you'll need to change the settings each time the settings changed to be able to play them!
Hope this helps!

Ok...well that makes sense...but is also stupid. What do record settings have to do with playback? I guess it just adds to the list of "Man I love this camera but there sure are a lot of annoying things about it."

Like having a bunch of codecs to work with instead of a plain single codec camera. When you change the recording settings you switch the entire camera to a different system - that is so you can see what you're recording. This applies for the playback also, there's only one set of configurable codecs in there. I guess you can put up with the limitation given the price.
