Hi,
I am one of those weird Linux guys that is using MainActor 5.5 for editing. I am new to the program so I thought I would ask what sounds right here for the import and export settings. When I have the DV file on the pc I can import it into the program using 6 options; no fields (progressive), upper field, lower field, deinterlace (use upper field, discard lower), deinterlace (use lower, discard upper, or deinterlace (use both fields). Then when I export the file after editing I can choose either no fields, upper fields first, or lower fields first.
Now I think it should be progressive to lower fields, but I am not totally sure. I need to know before starting to edit a lot of stuff, and the pc monitor makes it more difficult being that it is progressive so I have to look at the annoying jagged edges and weird blurs. So if anyone knows I would appreciate the help. Thanks.
