I know some of the stunts from this were shocking. It's based on some sort of street jumping style of action, can't remember what you call it. Parka i think?

Yea, this puts most American action films to shame.

Had high hopes for this one because of Rottentomatoes. But once again, I'm learning that Rottentomatoes is a rotten way to grade films. A totally average film can score 80-90% just because no one will give it a bad grade. They won't give it a good grade either, but it shows up as Fresh.
Unless you are a hardcore fan of all action films, do not rent this movie. It offers absolutely nothing in the way of story or compelling characters. And to be honest, except for 2-3 minutes where people are jumping from roof-to-roof, it really offers nothing new in the way of action either.

i never said anything about the story, as a matter of fact i fast forward to the action. C.G. isn't into stunt work i gather, because the stunts were crazy. those guys landing like that! wow! nothing new? you got to be kidding! in a america they are not allowed to do sh it like that.

I saw this in the theater.
Story shmory, this is a fun flick with lots of action eye candy.
Besson has a good read on what makes an action film entertaining, and most of the time films he's attached to do just that...entertain, and rarely have any deep story whatsoever.
I'd say this film is "fresh". I'd been waiting to see street gymnastics utalized in a film. It's been several years that videos have been parading the net of these guys doing amazing athletic acts. i think "Team Revolution" had some great videos(i'm sure someone could find them on youtube under parkour if that's what it's called.)
