What is the minimum Apple computer that I will need to effectively run Final Cut Pro 5? I have looked at the iMac intel, but with Final Cut Studio, I'd be over my budget. I have seen used G4s around, but I've been told that they won't run the new versions of FCP, and the old versions are apparently very hard to come by.
Also, would you recommend Avid Express Pro or FCP5, and is Vegas the same type of postproduction software, or is it specialty software?
