Ok - so we just burned our dvd to submit to sundance - it required a dual layer dvd to fit the feature.

The question is - can most new dvd players read a dual layer dvd burned from a pc? We are having issues playing it in a 2 year old machine but a new one is playing it. I just wanted to see if the folks here know if most new ones can play that format.

I would think the screeners at sundance have new players to avoid compatibility issues - that makes sense right?

Sundance must given that most films submitted have this issue I would imagine. I have an old DVD player and need to upgrade, and I have been told the new ones have this ability. Good luck with it, the trailor looks funny.

I assume they'll have up to date players. It really irritates me how my four year old player that I played about $100 for can't play +R but my new $30 one can.
