Following the developement of this camera has led me to do something I haven't done in a while - pick up the American Cinematographer Manual and Kris Malkiewicz's book as well. It's very inspiring to think of the possibilities of a cinematic digital camera. For me, it means thinking about lenses, i.e thinking in a cinematic way.

So, keep up the good work and I look forward to following the development as it gets close to fruition.

Best,
Steve

I'm digging through my back issues of American Cinematographer and dreaming away hours when I should be editing my indie pilot into webisodes... or writing on the scripts for my next project. Bad Clint, get to work.

I have the 7th Edition of the ASC manual, and noticed they have released the 9th Edition which has a lot of info on digital technology, such as digital intermediates, etc. Wouldn't be surprised to see these next generation of digital cinema cameras make their presense felt even more in future editions. To me a sure sign that the industry is transitioning.

Yeah, his book is a good primer. It's only 190 pages, but very useful info in there.
