Here are some photos from Birkenau, which I visited along with my class at school with "Travel For Peace." We weren't allowed to take pictures inside Auschwitz 1 and the gas chambers.

I too would very much like to visit there. That and the beaches of Normandy. History..and especially WWII never ceases to interest me more than anything...

My favorite is #2 and I like the contrast on #5. The harshness of the film is very fitting and honestly I would not have know that these were taken any time recently normally which is nice for this subject matter (it doesn't look like you just visited a tourist area.)
