Hey guys.
Just wanted to take a second and pray for those who were involved in the shooting at Dawson College in montreal.
I was just leaving my college which was a block down, walking towards the train station when just outside the building, i and a few friends heard gunshots, followed by people screaming and running wildly into the streets.
Everyone has heard about the politechnique back i think in 1988, where women were killed at their workplace by a gunman, but to expect to see it first hand almost to the point of being involved, well, its a very surreal experience. It frightened me to death because all you heard were people screaming and running out of the college.
My cousin was a floor above where the shooting took place. In a panic, they had barracaded themselves inside the classrooms holding onto each other for their lives. I believe it took place at the entrance, from what i could hear outside, and read that it also took place somewhere on the second floor.
Anyways, for those who heard of this tragic event, it is very much real, and it is very scary. One of thoes freak things that you never expect to experience first hand and when it does, it is totally surreal.
Here is to the hope that we may prevent things such as this from ever happening again.
