Recently posted some funny shorts:

Shot with duel XL1's and a camera car.

Some of the shorts are scripted and the lighting is really nice.

Others were improvised while the camera car drove back to the "dark" street so everything is crushed to security camera dynamic range.

If you have a minute, check 'em out!

Hey, this kind of post would be better in the Other Cameras section, under Canon Clips...

Other than a lack of polariser (and probably a matte box or two) the acting is great and the setting suits the material well - great job!

Thanks, yeah we shot 'em pretty quick and down and dirty.

Funny thing is we had a really good, professional DP, but unfortuantly the guy driving the camera truck drove about three to four MPH to slow and we kept losing take after take to red lights. Oh well, live and learn ;-)

The speed looked great on camera - is that why he drove slow? Did you have a real tuck, or some sort of trailer rig?

We had a real truck pulling us (had to disable the front airbags ;-).
Who knows why the guy went so slow, I got the feeling it wasn't entirely by accident (bad attitude). Lesson learned: when you cut a cash deal with someone who owns a pro level camera truck to work a Sunday don't be surprised when they don't show up with the best attitude.
Still, it was fun was being able to improvise entire new bits while we travelled back to the start position. Even though the footage got all blown out, it still kind of worked. The Prostate Sketch was entirely improvised, so was the Bunny Rabbit one.
