Okay, I have read the whole message board, and I still don't get it.

I have 720pn 24 footage. I am working in a project setting of 720 24p 960 x 720.

What setting do I use to export an AVI, which is in the proper aspect ratio?

I have tried several and they all end up 4:3. This is really frustrating as hell.

I just want a high quality .avi so that I can put into Premiere and Cinescore to finish the audio work. And then convert it to MPEG for DVD authoring.

Any simple answers???

Have you tried using the canopus procoder wizard? There are lots of options there for you to get the output format you want. When you get to the last part of that before you do the output, have a look at the advanced output settings button. It will allow you to customise all that crap, so you can make sure its what you want. 16:9, ntsc, pal, etc. Hope this giving you what you are asking.

Thanks Jason.

I managed to get a decent quality .avi output as well as an hd one.

It is weird that for some setting you have to manually resize the video clips if the original doesn't match the output. For example, going from 720p to 1080. I guess it makes sense, but still...

Going from 720 down to avi was the real PITA, but I finally found the right .avi setting that works and that seems to be the Canopus HD .avi and HQ .avi.

Yeah, a regular avi. output is only going to give you a 4:3 output at a smaller than full screen size. 300something x something, I remember. I'm glad you were able to get it working.
