Hello everyone, just finished shooting a short film down here in Orlando, I was the DP on the shoot as well as camera operator. Enjoy!

34 views and not a single responce?
Haha. Guess its DVX User.com for a reason heh.
No worries mate. I'm sure someone will respond soon. Just give it some time. As for me, I'll watch it later when I'm at home and comment.

I just don't watch anything on youtube, I'm here for quality, not quantity! (But I did just watch "So Scripted", which was so good I wanted to see more that Invision Productions had to offer!)

Hmmm... I just watched it. I wasn't going to post anything, but then I just saw that you were the DP, not the director.
Honestly, it seemed really pretentious, and a bit boring. The writing was forced in so many ways, and I just KNEW that at the end it would say "written, directed, edited, blah, blah, blah". The director obviously thinks he's the smartest man alive, and unfortunately, that's just not the case. "I'm a writer... and an artist." I mean, C'mon - - Gee, I wonder who he's really talking about.
There were some really good shots in there, though. The hand on the rail, and a couple more I don't remember off the top of my head. I'd try and hold off the zooms, and dolly instead. Even if it's a DIY dolly, it'll flow better than the slow zooms I saw here.
Framing looked pretty good, definitely stronger at some points than others, but overall a decent job. I'd say watch this back over and over, pick out the shots that you really like, figure out why you like them, and use that info on your next project.

Thanks for the words on the cinematography, i'll relay your words to the director ;) About the zooms...We did use a DIY Dolly on all the "zoom" shots you see, it was a combination of a slow zooming and a dollying action, which had to be done because of the XL2's long focal length. Never again though, I HATE ZOOMS!

Nice images and camera moves. Congratulations for you as DP! I had some problems with the story and I couldn't connect to the character. Without that connection movie looses much of its value.
