Fading a song

How do you make a song fade in vegas 6? slowly get quieter. :smile:

at the very end of the track you have to hover your mouse over the end until you see the little half circle cursor. then just simply move it towards the end of the track and it will have a curve meaning fade out. same way with the beginning to fade in

And right-click it to pick a fade profile.

NoCash, just an FYI but this is the same thing you do to fade out a video track. Hover your mouse over the top corner of the track to get the fade icon. If you're hovering too low you'll slip-edit the track (shorten or lengthen) instead of fade. Move your mouse around and you'll see the different icons here.

You can also insert a volume envelope and adjust that to fade out the way you want. Just another method.

Two more options-- 1. Every time you show your production, simply turn down the volume knob as it nears the end. 2. Start talking louder and louder to your audience so that the perceived volume of the production gets softer. : > l
