So far we have all kinds of great toys coming from Red - modularity accessories, storage accessories, power accessories, viewing accessories, etc. How far will the list go? Will we have follow focuses? Matte boxes? Video transmitters? External data displays? Heads?
Obviously the list goes on - some are more reasonable than others. Is it a mystery to us until the curtain drops or are there any tidbits floating out there so far?
And... I can't help but ask... a wireless focus/iris/run/stop/data display unit? I guess a dork can dream, right?

My personal quess would be that RED would focus on those items you would have a hard time getting elsewhere first.
The lens is incuded in this line up cause a S35mm lens is so damn expensive it might as well be impossible.
I would expect RED to get all the mounting hardware started, and then you can get a mattebox and follow focus elsewhere for now. I am sure, if RED is as popular as I will assume, that many many things will be coming down the pipe in the next two years. For now I am guessing they are focused on:
Camera
Codec
Cage one
RED Rail
Monitor
Viewfinder
RED Drive
I don't work there, but this is what I have heard them speak about.
What scares me is that so for with Camera and Lens, I am now at $28,000.00 for the camera. I still have a viewfinder, a REDRail, RED Drvie, and the on camera monitor to purchase. This is going to get close to $35,000 before I am done..
EEEKKKK!!! Still a great deal, but expensive nevertheless for someone like me.

The on-camera monitor comes with the camera, I believe.
But I would suggest you will need at least two Red Drives, so you can swap them out and keep shooting while you download the first batch of rushes onto another hard drive.
