I need a marquee at the bottom of the screen displaying text throughout a vid. How to do w/ Vegas 6?

You mean like a news runner?

Type out the entire runner in a long line. Then, in your first keyframe, under "Placement," put the start of the runner slightly offscreen to the right. Go to the last keyframe and then place the end of the runner slightly offscreen to the left. Make sure your Y coordinates match on both.

Then, it's a matter of adjusting the length of the clip (in the properties at the top of the dialogue box) to get the speed you want.
